Hello gufiak , wanted to comment the following thing. Update firmware of my 383 (380 in EUROPE) with completes version (18-06-06), I put DVD-A and it hi-fi reproduced the track to me of (MLP) reason why it is possible to be said that it supports that format (although the 383 do not have analogical exits 5,1). In the same way I tried with a SA-CD, but it did not reproduce, did not support the disc, single supported the track of AUDIO CD. It wanted to know if modifying the the 383 FIRMWARE support to SA-CD, since a similarity of cases between the 470 exists and the 575. Prune to do something on the matter. Thank you very much.

Josh_K, it is quite interesting what you write. If 383 is the same as 380 it shoud not play DVD-A and SACD at all. As fw for 380 and 585 is the same, and 380 does not support mentioned formats instead of 585, this makes suspicion, that playing DVD-A and SACD is determined by some informations stored in eeprom. If having 585 eeprom as a file is possible, may be Gufiak can find how playing SACD and DVD-A is unlocked for this player, and may implement that future for all compatible players.
If your player really can play DVD-Audio, may be eeprom from your fw could be enough.

What are the instructions to install the firmware upgrade on the DV-383. Also once I download the firmware upgrade where do I put it on a CD or DVD?
