Can anyone tell us what is new and what is changed in the new original release?

Is it something better than Hakan's 6.0 from july 2007?

Will the new firmware be improved by someone from the MASTERS OF FIRMWARES?

I dont have any info on what was improved/fixed in this new versions!
If you dont have any problems with your player, you dont need to update!

So you want a modded version of this YDC7B16A?

You can now download a new modified firmware for DV-696AV, I added WordWrap as well.

I've downloaded and tested the firmware available in pioneer faq, and the grey background is back , the lines are too low in the screen, and the fonts are a little small.
I don't know if that's your firm, but can you modify this?

That your firmware make this work:

"if there is not a subtitle file with the same name as movie in folder it will load all subtitle files thats in the folder! "


Some months i ask for that and you said that will be implemented in the next version.


You give as hope that 696 firmware development is not dead!

No it does not "if there is not a subtitle file with the same name as movie in folder it will load all subtitle files thats in the folder! " .

There is simply not any space to add new OSD items.
For the moment I dont seem to be able to add more in to the DV-696 firmware!

I could add it without any OSD menu option so it just load all subtitles but this could also creat a lot of problems! You might have to scroll through a lot of subtitles files to get the correct one! etc etc!
