Hi - been looking through a lot of posts, but as confused as before.
It looks like the New Update for Pioneer dv393/490 by Seb@stian. v.2 12/01/2008 will allow me to change my machine (bought in Spain) to be able to read regions other than 2 (at least that's what it says in the redme-open_in_WordPad.txt file.
Please confirm that this is correct; and if so - how do I install the firmware ?
Instrukcja wgrywania fw dla Pioneer dv-393 i dv-490-NERO-.pdf and INSTRUKCJA wgrywania fw Pioneer-DeepBurner.pdf are both in Polish, which I don't understand.
