Hmmm, I just opened fw for 393 and there is an wildcard for FW filename: Y*A*****.BIN
For 490 Y*B*****.BIN,
for 595 but probably Y*A*****.BIN
for 696 Y*C*****.BIN

I don't know if we should suggest on filenames.
I remember that for 575 and 470 players filenames were different and their content the same...

BTW. Do you expect that player will show you all russian characters in filenames? I think that Gufiak must work on this FW to enable such feature. But if you successfully extract fw, report this fact here.
Maybe that you were right that FW from 393 will fit to 595.

Yes, I expect. The same problem was solved in previous models. For example, DV380 and 585.

So Has anyone try to update the firmware of DV-595K-s with DV-393. Does it fix the subtitle problem?? Where can I get the original DV-595K-s incase something goes wrong with 393 firmware.

for my understanding, you can update from hakan or dinderi modes for 393 with no problems - I can ask to be sure in the forum that tried to update 595K from 393 FW.

i think that you need to change the serial name of the update in a way that will match your dvd for identify the FW.


there is a way of taking your orginal FW from your dvd with a cable, ask it in the forum I dont know how.

Unfortunately not as you wish. The only faster playback that is implemented now looks like it looks now.
Robert applied the same patches as I did, according to futures described as "mostly by Gufiak"

your FW's for 393 are final . in the near future will be some more improvments in 393 FW

Robert's fw is the same as mine v3.0, plus :

- Supports subtitles with not matching filename

Only graphics are different. So, having Pioneer player for last few years, I belive the only realy needed new function is to reorganize OSD Menu a bit, as it was made in Gufiak's mods for 380 and 470.
I think, such firmware as Robert's, is in fact 99,9% perfect
