Hello to all,

i have installed Pioneer_DV-393_FW_-Polish_dinderi_poprawione_drgania_przez_mariusz_acx ver 0.2 and i have noticed some problems with DivX Subttitles.

When i play a divx with .srt subtitles they are shown on the tv like this



they are somehow flickering. Does someone know why.

And when i play .idx+.sub subtitles they are perfect:



Is there any solution for this problem and is it going to be implemented in next fw ver??

If anybody needs this fw with Serbian language with this background i will send it.

Just try to load this fw:
Pioneer_DV-393_FW_-Polish_dinderi_mod.rar
It wuold solve your problem.

Duhsasekirom, FW you loaded has subtitle frame moved up one pixel, comparing to the fw mantioned by Lechu. On some TV sets, position of subtitle frame may be the reason of the problem you described.

Yeah, problem solved. Only that now subtitles position is very high. How can i change that

Open FW in MTKWindows, find Window 0x10 and modyfie it as you wish. Then save Fw.

As I can read here few asks to make an English, Spanish etc. version of modded fw for new Pioneer player's, I better write simple tutorial:

For English OSD
1. Open Original FW with MTKRemaker. Go to DATA PART - > OSD - > OSD 2 Languages, right click Language 1 [00] and choose SAVE. Now you have .mtl file with English version of OSD
2. Open modded FW with MTKRemaker go to DATA PART - > OSD - > OSD 2 Languages, right click Language 1 [00] and choose REPLACE. Replace with previously saved .mtl file with English OSD.
3. Save FW, burn CD, upgrade player.
Too easy

For Spanish OSD:
1. Open Original FW with MTKRemaker. Go to DATA PART - > OSD - > OSD 2 Languages, right click Language 1 [00] and choose SAVE. Now you have .mtl file with English version of OSD.
2. Open saved file with MTKLangEditor
3. Translate each line to Spanish, leaving all digital comends as they are. Change only text.
4. Save edit
5. Open modded FW with MTKRemaker go to DATA PART - > OSD - > OSD 2 Languages, right click Language 1 [00] and choose REPLACE. Replace with previously translated file with Spanish OSD.
6. Save FW, burn CD, upgrade player.
Too easy

For "lazy fellows" visit www.pioneerfaq.info or www.softpedia.com and look, if you can find modded fw with desired language for your player. Sorry Guys, but mother language of all people here, is Polish. We can do special mods for you, but we need your help.

P.S. Also remember that if you use other code page than CP1250 you have to prepare fonts with MTKFontCreator for your code page and replace them going to:
DATA PART - > OSD - > OSD 1 Visuals - > Fonts and replace fonts 1, 8, 9, 10, 11.

i don´t know how to do that. Other questions, with this last firm, can you change color and size of subtitles

guiyelopez, sorry but the only Spanish word I know is "maniana" and "kulo grande" I guess, you can use CP1250 as Spanish and English doesn't need special characters, so the only work you need to do is to translate OSD File.

Ok, thank you anyway. I very dificult to me read the polish forum, so i have to guess what you guys are saying!!
The matter is that i have installed the 2 versions of the firmware (for DV-393), but i couldn´t change the subtitles colors and size in both of them.
Are these options available in these firmwares

Color changing is not available yet. Changing size is available by chosing different codepages. Read teh manual for subtitle language codes.
