houston i have a problem !
I tried the sebastian version, but i didn´t knew that the OSD wasn´t in english and the subtitles too. So i want turnning the dinderi version back, but when i insert the cd, the dvplayer don´t recognize the CD.
I tried the same with others firmwares, but now sebastian firmware don´t want to be erase !
any idea ? Please it will be welcome !

Now your player works with firmware for dv-490. It means, it behave like dv-490. So if you want to change firmware you need to replace it's name to fit dv-490.
So take fw for dv-393 and rename it with f.e. "YDB6C18A.BIN". Now it would work.

I'm using Seb@stian v2 firmware in my 393S. The extra divx subtitles setup options are fantastic !

But I've got a problem and need Seb@stian's help: My TV is 16:9 and the pioneer is set widescreen (16:9). My TV is configured to use full screen. When I try to see a 4:3 DVD the image is stretched out. I don't want it... I want to see the image with black side bars, but maintaining the correct aspect ration.

With DIVX videos it doesn't happen.

The LG 9923 (using modified firmware too) doesn't has this issue.

I think the problem is Pan&Scan configuration.

SEB@STIAN, Could you please make a v2 without pan&scan available to me ? (or teach me how to do it).

Dinderi or Gufiak, could you help too ?

I´m using SEB@STIAN´S firmware in Brazil, but the accentuation is not right.

I put the "subtitle language" in "br" (0218) and others, but nothing changed.

Is there something I can do?

Firmware is for 1250 CP. If You want to have other CP You have to replace font bank /for brazil's subtitle eg./ in MTKRemaker. For right accentuation in file browser advenced modding is need.

gielkop, The easiest way:
1. Download firmware for dv585 CP1252 from here: http://www.pioneerfaq.inf...stion=Firmwares
2. Open it in MTKRemaker and save font 8,9,10,11
3. Open firmware for dv393 in MTKRemaker
4. Replace font 8,9,10,11 with the one you previously saved.
5. Save firmware
6. Burn upgrade CD and upgrade a player.
Now you may choose 4 font sizes of CP1252
