Hi, I'm an italian users and I have some questions... If I try the Seb@stian v2 firmware on my Pioneer dv 393, can I have problems? I can select Italian language for the menu? The name of the .bin file is the same name of the 490 firmware... To burn the cd to upgrade my firmware, I must change the name of this file or only burn like is it?

Yes, both players can work with the same firmware.
IF you use original fw in dv393, you have to rename the file to fit the mask Y.A......BIN.

If you already use mod firmware by Robert, you do not need to rename the file.

Now I use the Hakan 4.0 firmware...what's the correct procedure to change my firmware with the seb@stian? Thanks for your answer dinderi!

Hi to all, I have upgrade the firmware with seb@stian version but the italian subtitles are incorrect, The accentuation in .srt file is incorrect, I suppose because the Firmware is for 1250 CP and not for CP 1252... There isn't the possibility of a new firmware for this version?
It's the same request of gielkop, I know, but I think many peoples like this possibility...

I just installed Sebastian firmware and it is great... very functional ! But... i have a question.. i have some problems with the subtitles... i can't set them in spanish code, anyone can help me? ?

am glad hearing of an upgrade to 393\490 players.
as you know, I'm using your last FW based on Robert FW (your pan&scan mod add to robert FW which works just on divx and grafick changes).

this FW I had includes big support for Hebrew (right to left and left to right support for hebrew), is sebstian FW have place for adding Hebrew support (CP 1255) for 393 player memory ?

1) Rebuilt menu 'Initiall Settings', options from 'Display' are moved to the menu 'Options',
added 'Subtitles' menu, and in it undermentioned options:

* Vartical position - setting subtitles higher or lower on a screen
* Font size - there are subtitles font's size to be set.
* Font colour - setting font colour
* Outline colour - setting outline colour
* Background - setting background colour - in Robert FW its better and there is no background in back of subtitles - so I don't want it.
Suport 4 subtitles lines
- Bottom aligned subtitles
Word Wrap added according to Danny Moroz routin. Fixed bug of last letter in subtitle line cut-off.
- Pa&Scan enabled for all DVD's
Divx/Xvid files bigger then 2 Gb support implemented

as you know I don't how to do it, is there any chance you will add this features to Robert FW

I have updated firmware on my DV-393 with YDB6C18A_V2_by_Seb@stian_Cp1250, but i have problems with bulgarian subtitles...the country code is correct bg-0207 but subtitles are unreadable
any suggestions?

In this FW they have used all font banks for CP1250 languages and different font sizes for subtitles, you need CP1251.

The CP1250 is for English, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Slovene, Croatian, Serbian (Latin script), Romanian, Albanian and German

I want to add cyrillic filenames support in filebrowser of Sebastian's firmware. Plese verify that it's correct sequence to do:

1. Modify font 1 [00-01] putting cyrillic symbols from position 193
2. Replace UnicodeToCP125x (at offset 0x8ba98 of ARM part) with routine by Cax, or it's better to take it from Robert's firmware?
