am very glad to see enormous progress in making asuccessful firmware for dv-393

wanted to ask if you working on the option of backwarding the subtitles and folding it too (when the line are full) - very important feature when comes to languages that need backward, in my case Hebrew.

also in the last official firmware that came for us (in hebrew) they used to backward the subtiltle in a chinease mechanism for backward (took from some firmware), and there are a lot of bugs with it, such as wrong display when numbers showing, etc etc

any chance of working of fine algorithmes that will include backward and folding the subtitles and avoid word wrapping too..

I realy liked the last firmware made by Gufiak & Dinderi V.2.0
I wanted to ask is it possible to change something -
the player still can`t play subtitles in a different name from the main movie.
If im not wrong u already fix it in earlier version.

I may understand it, as backword algorithmes need lots of work, to implement into firmware. So, Robert probably waits for most augmented mod, to save his time.
The work on new patches is in progress. In not very far future will be some new mod fw for dv393 released. But I can not say when, at the moment.

Thanks Dinderi!! I tried your version 3.0 firmware (Serbian, Croatian vers. because I'm from Croatia) and it is brilliant!!
Pan&Scan now works fine on all my dvd-s. Bug fixed
I like new bigger font with grey background, subtitles position is now excellent...

i had a problem with de the last update of the firmware (3.0).
The names of the files (movies) are so long that they are above the scroll bar (i explained it well ) So, it´s imposible to read well the names of some movies... why could happen this

Filename length is 50 chars, including extension. Depending on font size and each font, the name is shorter or wider, even with the same number of characters. If you have many spaces in filename or/and lettes like "W" "M" etc., 50 characters may look too much. That is why you notice, the filnames go out filbrowser's frame.
I'm sure, this is possible to read the filenames well, as 46 characters is enough to identyfie the file. Even first 10 characters usualy is enough.
I knew, this "problem" may be seen, but still I decided to leave 50 characters in filename. It is not a serious bug, as such weird filnames are not very comon. What is more, this problem affects only last 4-5 letters (in realyyyyyy loooooooooooong, unusual names). So the only part of the name, you may have a problem to read, is just an extension, dot and one letter from filename. Before, it was only 42 chars support and original firmware supports much less characters. I thing this problem, worths the difference.
You can always edit filnames, before burning, cutting off all those "DVDRip_by_Someniceguy_XviD_AC3" etc. Or, in next mod, we will make only 46 chars support. I can bet, someone will write: "The filenames in filbrowser are too short, as there is still lots of free space after it..... etc. etc."
