Sorry to bother but I have no idea how to fix this problem. Yesterday I got a Pioneer DV-393s Player . I connceted it to my computer since that is my tv ... it was going good. I was able to see but not hear. As I was moving some stuff the whole screen went blank. Now it won't let me get to the menu to change what I think I did wrong ... I press something call 'progressive' something like that. NOW all I get is a word that says ' GUI' but no menu .... what can I do??

You may go back to default settings of a player. Switch off the player, press and hold "Stop" button, now holding Stop press "Standby/On" button. Now the player com to it's default settings. Remember that Component is players default video out, before you reset the player connect it with TV with component cable. otherwise you will see the black screen.
Check also plugs, if they fit well.

if you dont have componet cables connect it to the TV with the Yellow(Video) cable that comes with the unit. What ever you do, this connection will always let you get in to the Home Menu.
