Hello!!
Hi guys, I hope to get some help here. The problem is that the player wont read subtittles from my DVD on wich I have Friends (entire season - 24 episodes)
The subtitle name is the same of the avi file but it just wont read. Subtitles are in .srt format. Please help.
Thank you!!

After wasted 10 dvd-s i saw that it wont play subtittles if I put friends on a DVD. I put it on CD and it played without problem. Is there a way to solve this cause i dont want to have 7 cd`s for one friend season. Where is the trick??
Thank you!!

Each film and it's subtitles in each folder. That is a trick ;)

I used 393 for couple of months and never seen this problem, on movies that I have. May be this is similar problem that has been seen for dv-380. Some xvid files with 6 chanel audio makes problems in showing subtiltes, even if thay apear under "Subtitle" Key. Mod firmware for dv-393, still does not solve this problem, unfortunately.
When film start, try not to fast forward or rewind, nor jump to specified time. Just let it play itselfs. If subtitles disapear themselfs, push "Pause" - > "FF" - > "Play", thay may get back again.

Maybe this bug has something to do with refreshing read-ahead buffer, on DVD's it can forgot the data from it, but not on CD , because size or refresh rate of that buffer is different for CD's and DVD's.

Theoretically you can "force" the buffer to refresh, like Dinderi said, but if this way doesn't work for you ... :(

I have the same problem. My player's model is DV-393-s. It doesn't play srt subtitles (never attempted playing any other kind of subtitles) if I use a DVD+R or DVD-R disc. Also, I never attempted playing them on a CD-R disc. Can anyone help me fix it please??

Wow, great!! Unfortunately, I already burned those files on recordable, but not re-writeable DVDs; therefore some DVDs have been wasted. But it's great everything will be fine with the DVDs I'll burn in the future, thanks!!

A new discovery: some ppl have confirmed that Pio 393 DOES support multisession DVDR!! (not just DVDRW like most dvd players) So you can simply RENAME the files without wasting extra discs!!

What do you mean?? I burned those DVDs in a single session, meaning those discs are closed.

if you use the default option of a burning program the disc is still open and you can continue burning on that disc, most of the players won't read the extra session, pio393 WILL!! (unless you have intentionaly colsed it - there is no reason for doing that - NEVER)
