   Model odtwarzacza: Pioneer DV-380, DV-393, DV-300, DV-400, Onkyo dv-sp404e

Method taken from www.pioneerfaq.info

When I switch on the player, the player goes to a Regional Settings Screen where it prompts me to select a region code from 1-6.
(Player’s Region Settings)
<1> : Region
<2> : Region
<3> : Region
<4> : Region
<5> : Region
<6> : Region
Pick Out One Of These!
But I am unable to select any region using the remote control or the buttons on the player. What do I do?
You need to get a Pioneer Service Remote. When you have it you should press: [ESC] [A.MON] [Numbers], where [Numbers] correspond to the region number you want to set. Be aware that you can only set this once, if you set the wrong region number for your area, there is no turning back.
With RS232 cable:
1. Connect cable to the player and PC.
2. Power up your player, wait until region selection menu will appear.
3. Run MtkTool on PC.
2. In MtkTool click toolbar button with compact disc icon (R/W Register).
3. Select "8032 XDATA"
4. In "Addr" field enter FB00 (F, B and two zeros)
5. In "Data" field enter 9C if your player´s original region is 2, 9E if your player´s original region is 4 or 9F if your player´s original region is 5.
6. Click "Write". Region selection menu should disappear.

thanx for your fast reply.
I have 2 more questions:
1. "RS232 cable" - is it the same cable that i can use to flash my player (with rx tx and ground)??
2. my player is zone 3 (as written on the back panel of the player). what is the code that i should use??
thanx in advance...

The same cable, as the one, you use to flash the player.
With the cable better set zone 3. Then flash with mod firmware and set region 0 using ENTER key. (If you want it to be multiregional ofcourse)
