Two problems running with DV-393:
1. some avi files appear "mute" (no sound) , but run smoothly with PC
2. some avi files appear only the subtitle, but no sound & video. Can't stop it from playing unless press button "open/ close" to eject disc. It's weird.

This is probably an error in muxing sound and video. Or the sound was coded in unsupported format.
If the sound is right format, you need to open avi file in VirtualDubMod,

The program will propose to rewrite a header, ignore this.

Go to 'Streams' -- > 'Steam list' and press 'Demux' to demux audio stream

Now Disable Audio stream

Save Video going to 'File' -- > 'Save as'. Remember to change 'Full processing mode' into 'Direct steram copy'


Now close entire project 'File' -- > 'Close video file' and open Video file without audio.
Go to 'Streams' -- > 'Stream list', press 'Add' and choose an Audio file.

Choose again NOT to ovewrite CBR Header.
Now right click on added audio stream and choose 'Interleaving'

Set values as on a picture.
Go to 'File' -- > 'Save as', choose 'Direct stream copy' and save movie.

This may be 4 resons
1. Movie resolution over 720x576 (PAL)
2. Very low resolution, so the movie is not played
3. Unsupported, new codec
4. Avi file with error.
Give the AviCheck report of those movies, please.
